CV

Miroslav Jiřík was born in Klatovy, Czech Republic in 1984. He received his Bc. and Ing. (similar to M.S.) degrees in cybernetics from the University of West Bohemia, Pilsen, Czech Republic (UWB), in 2006 and 2008 respectively. As a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Cybernetics, UWB his main research interests include computer vision, machine learning, medical imaging, image segmentation, texture analysis. He is a teaching assistant at the Department of Cybernetics, UWB. In 2017 he graduated Ph.D. with a dissertation theme: “Image analysis of the parenchymatous organs and their blood-vessel structure”. Currently, he works in the  Biomedical Center of the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen (Liska Lab) and NTIS – New Technologies for the Information Society (Pilsen Eyes).
